Named to honor VTS’s founding year, Café 1823 epitomizes the hospitality and community central to the Seminary for nearly two centuries. In keeping with our Episcopal tradition, all are welcome at 1823 – whether you spend your days at VTS or “off-hill,” whether you live nearby or are passing through.
To ensure the best experience for our patrons, 1823 memberships are now available. As a member, you’ll receive notification of discounts and specials and will help us better serve and connect with you. In addition to VTS students, staff, faculty, alumni, donors and Board members, membership is open to Immanuel Church on the Hill parishioners, Episcopal High faculty, and anyone recommended by VTS faculty.
