VTS
Virginia Seminary is a theological school of the Episcopal Church with daily worship, a community life which seeks to express a Christian quality, and courses of study with requirements for academic credit. A full-time student is expected to participate regularly in all aspects of the Seminary’s life not incompatible with conscience or the exigencies of life, and to respect its communal and moral ethos, both within and outside the classroom.
US Applicants: If you reside in the United States, or are a United States citizen or permanent resident presently living outside of the United States and are interested in applying for the M.Div., MTS, MACE, Anglican Studies, Full Time Special or Part Time Special programs, click on the blue button labeled "US Applicants" for more information. International Applicants: If you live outside of the United States and are not a United States citizen, click on the blue button labeled "International Applicants" to get more information about our International Student Program. Part-Time non-degree study: If you would like to take a few classes at VTS, but are not interested in pursuing a degree, you may wish to apply to the "Part-time Special Student" program. Information and links to application materials for Part-time Special Study can be found in the US applicant section of the Admissions page.
Required Admissions Interview
A personal interview with the admissions committee is required for all persons applying as "US Applicants" for full-time or part-time degree programs as well as for the full-time special students program. An interview will not be scheduled until after an application has been filed and all credentials have been submitted. At that time an appointment will be arranged for the applicant by the Admissions Director.
Visits to the Seminary by prospective students are welcome. Overnight accommodation and appointments with members of the community will be arranged for those who are considering the possibility of applying.
