Class Stewards help to keep members of their Seminary Class connected with each other and with Virginia Seminary. As partners with the Director of Alumni/ae Affairs, they engage in the important ministry of building and enhancing relationships. Class Stewards are also conduits of information, encouragement and affirmation of the work of our graduates. They communicate pastoral concerns to the Alumni/ae Office, promote educational programs and events at the Seminary and are part of planning class reunions. And finally, Class Stewards encourage classmates to support the Seminary by their prayers and ongoing financial commitment.

Class Stewards

What is a Class Steward?

A Class Steward is a partner with the Director of Alumni/ae Affairs in a ministry of connection. Class Stewards focus on the life of their class facilitating opportunities for communication, connection and engagement through prayer, learning and friendship.

Who are the Class Stewards?

It is our hope to have a Steward from each class, from 1943 forward, who will volunteer to participate in this ministry of connection with their class members. At the moment, almost all classes have someone in this role.
If your class does not have a steward, please consider volunteering.
