|The Center for the Ministry of Teaching at Virginia Theological Seminary was founded in 1984 to promote "research and development that will foster improved teaching practices and curricula in the Episcopal Church." As a resource room with sample curricula and a circulating collection on teaching and learning in faith contexts, we have historically served the VTS community as well as Christian education directors, Sunday School teachers, clergy, and other mid-Atlantic church leaders through our ministry of resource curation, consultation, and training workshops.|
In recent years, we have embraced a call to move online, using technology to extend our mission of equipping congregations, dioceses, and schools with high-quality resources and tools for lifelong faith formation in the Episcopal Church and beyond. You can read more about that process, and our hopes and dreams for it, below (as told to Forma in January 2013). We hope that you will connect with us in ways that are helpful to you, and we look forward to seeking and serving Christ with you through the vital ministry of lifelong faith formation.
