ECC

Episcopal Children’s Curriculum (ECC) is a thematic Sunday school curriculum tied to the seasons of the church year. It was developed by the Center for the Ministry of Teaching under the direction of the Rev. Locke E. Bowman, Jr. and Amelia J. Dyer, Ph.D. Although no longer in print, ECC curriculum materials are available for FREE download here on our website. Use the navigation below to find the documents you need.

Age Groups: ECC is available for three age groups: Preschool/Kindergarten, Primary (grades 1–3), and Intermediate (grades 4–6).

II Advent – Epiphany (Dec – Jan) New Testament
III Lent & Easter (Feb – Mar) Baptism/Eucharist/Worship

Three Year Cycles

For each age group, the ECC provides three years of material. A child or class may start in any one of the three years. In other words, the Shell, Chalice and Cross years may be used in any order.  View Sample Lesson Plans

Music: Please note that we do not have rights to the recorded music that was once offered with ECC. The tapes are no longer produced in any format.
