The Center for Anglican Communion Studies at Virginia Theological Seminary is pleased to invite you to attend a public panel discussion Islam in the Modern World: Said Nursi’s Perspective on Friday, March 21 at 8pm at Virginia Theological Seminary
"We are competitors for love, we have no time for enmity." - Bediuzzaman Said Nursi
Islam’s role in world affairs becomes larger, yet the misunderstandings and friction between Islamic civilization and the modern West continue. Recent tragic events carried out by extremist groups overseas call into question whether constructive relationships between Christians and Muslims are possible at all.
Join us for a public conversation with a distinguished panel of experts on the thought of the Muslim theologian Bediuzzaman Said Nursi. Panelists will explore a cooperation of believers in the midst of today’s challenges to Christian-Muslim relations. Audience and tweeted questions and comments will be encouraged and incorporated into the conversation.
The evening’s discussion will be livestreamed to www.vts.edu. We encourage you to follow and participate in the conversation using hashtag #vts_nursi
