All full-time students are required to have health insurance and to document their coverage at registration. The Seminary offers full-time master's-level students group health and hospitalization coverage with The Episcopal Church's Medical Trust administered through the Church Pension Group. The information below is also available on the Church Pension Group
The Episcopal Church Medical Trust offers one medical plan choice:
- Anthem BCBS PPO 75/50 Plan
This plan provides Express Scripts prescription coverage, CIGNA Behavioral Health Benefits, and EyeMed Vision Care. Dental coverage is optional; there are three available plans through CIGNA at an additional monthly cost. The Open Enrollment Guide (in the downloads section at right) summarizes the medical plan and the three optional dental plans. Network Access Instructions
will help locate doctors. When looking for information under the Anthem BCBS, search by using outside locations, not local (local is New England).
Eligible students may enroll in the plans effective July 1st or August 1st, or at the time of a qualifying life event such as marriage, birth, or loss of other insurance coverage. Enrollment is through VTS. Send or Fax (703-370-0138) the Enrollment Form to the attention of the Human Resources Office (Mr. Chris Marbaker), or email the form to him at firstname.lastname@example.org
. Students must be enrolled through VTS and will be billed by VTS in two, 6-month installments.
Students may also search the federal healthcare exchange
established under the Affordable Care Act for additional options.
