Some of the most interesting forums are coming out of the Center for Anglican Communion Studies. Ms. Katherine Wood manages to persuade some remarkable speakers to come across the Potomac and visit our campus. Today is no exception. Douglas Johnston (Ph.D., Harvard) and well known evangelical Anglican will be our speaker at the forum today. Dr. Johnston is the President and Founder of the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy; he has worked with the government of Saudi Arabia as it seeks to remove discriminatory content from its public school curriculum.
In today's talk, Dr. Johnson will reflect on his faith-based conflict reconcilation work in Pakistan and the Sudan. It will also be an opportunity for him to share some of the insights emerging from his latest book Religion and Foreign Affairs: Essential Readings. This is a real treat. This is well worth attending.
Meanwhile I would like this opportunity to thank Katherine for making use of her many connections to bring such expertise to the campus. Thank you Katherine.
