It is wonderful when a new faculty member joins the community. On August 1, Dr. Hannah Matis Perett moved on campus. She joins our team in Church History. With a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies and two Masters (one from Durham, England and the other from the University of Notre Dame), she brings expertise and experience. We are excited to have her on the faculty.
It has been an eventful summer for Hannah. Not only did she move home, but she also got married. We are delighted that Hannah and her husband, Daniel, are in our midst. They are both making that inevitable adjustment. They have found the Episcopal High School gym; and various faculty colleagues are making them feel welcome. As Hannah starts eating her lunches in the Refectory, I invite the rest of the community to take table fellowship with our new colleague.
As Hannah settles in, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, we wish Hannah every blessing as she starts working at Virginia Theological Seminary. It is great that she is with us.
