Mission Statement
The Bishop Payne Library's mission is to serve the educational mission of the seminary, in accordance with the seminary’s strategic plan, by providing resources for the curricular and research needs of the VTS Board of Trustees, faculty, students, staff, alumni/ae, and patrons from partner seminaries.

Collection Development Policy
The Bishop Payne Library's collection is constantly growing as we seek to build a well-balanced, up-to-date, and deep collection of theological resources for study, research, and spiritual formation.

Gifts Policy
Donors make invaluable contributions to the collections of the Bishop Payne Library and the Archives and strengthen the library’s fulfillment of its mission. The Library has developed some written guidelines to help donors determine whether the library might be able to accept a particular gift.
