Guest Housing

We welcome the opportunity for our graduates and friends to return to campus. Currently alumnae and alumni may stay in the guest house two nights each calendar year, subject to availability. This privilege is non-cumulative, non-transferable, and does not apply to Institute for Christian Formation and Leadership programs. Guest house rooms are in high demand so it is advisable to call as far in advance as possible when booking a free night.

We are happy to offerProspective students two nights of accommodations in our guesthouse as our guests, vacancy permitting.  Additional nights can be reserved at the standard rate.

Current fees for the guest house are $80/night for a single and $85/night for a double. Visitors staying in the guest houses should be on Seminary or church-related business.

Wilmer Hall, 3700 Bishop Walker Circle, and Johns Hall, 3710 Bishop Walker Circle, are the guest houses located on the Seminary campus. We recommend making reservations at least 72 hours in advance of your arrival.

Wilmer and Johns Halls are not operated as a hotel. There is no daily maid service. Fresh linens and soap are provided when you arrive. Parking for guests is located only in the lot behind the Seminary Post Office. There is no parking on the circle in front of the guesthouses. Check in is anytime after 3:00pm and check out is by 10:00am on the day of departure. When departing, please leave the keys on the desk in your room and leave the door unlocked. If payment is due, it should be made according to directions at the registration table in the lounge located on the first floor of Wilmer Hall. For the comfort of all our visitors, Wilmer and Johns Halls are non-smoking buildings and no pets are allowed.

A Laundry Room is located on the first floor of both Wilmer Hall and Johns Hall. The washer and dryer in each hall are for the use of our visitors, but are also used by our cleaning staff.

Visitors are always welcome to join us for meals in the Refectory or worship in the Chapel.

The Alexandria Yellow Cab Company generally serves the Seminary quite efficiently. The number for a cab request is 703-549-2500. Tell the dispatcher you need a cab at the Virginia Seminary, 3737 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA. The best campus spots for meeting a cab are “on the circle in front of Aspinwall” or “on the circle in front of Johns and Wilmer Halls”.

Old Town Alexandria is the historic district of the City of Alexandria. Alexandria was a colonial seaport established in 1724 and Old Town is now a lovely restored area with interesting sights, shops and restaurants. You can get there by catching the DASH bus right outside the Seminary Road gate (across the street). At the southern tip of Alexandria is Mount Vernon, the home of our most famous citizen, George Washington. (About a 15-minute car ride from the Seminary)

The Metro is the best way to get around the city of Washington, DC. The closest Metro stop is the King Street Station which is about 3 miles in the direction of Old Town Alexandria. A cab ride to this station will cost around $6.00. A DASH bus ride to the station is $1.00
