 | Childcare at VTS is both exceptional and affordable. Led by early childhood expert Dr. Amy Dyer and employing a team of experienced teachers, the Butterfly House enrolls infants and children ages six weeks through 5 years, readying them both for kindergarten and life in a multicultural society.
The Butterfly House and the Caterpillar Club (for infants and toddlers up to 2 years old) offer mixed-age settings based on play-based curriculum. Children interact daily not only with peers, but also with older and younger children. The curriculum engages a variety of learning styles, and all activities are “hands-on,” since we believe children learn best by doing.

To apply, please download and return the waitlist form. (There is no fee.) Priority is given to VTS students and employees as well as to Episcopal High School employees. Admission to VTS does not result in automatic admission to TBH. Admission is determined by early June each year.
