The library provides interlibrary loan service for Virginia Theological Seminary faculty, adjunct instructors, students, and Doctor of Ministry students while they are in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area. If the Bishop Payne Library does not own a book or journal that is needed for your research, the library will borrow it for you from another library. |
Interlibrary loans may be requested by completing the form on the webpage under Library Services downloads and emailing it to the Public Services Librarian, Karen Madigan (firstname.lastname@example.org). It generally takes one to two weeks to receive an interlibrary loan.
Interlibrary loans may also be requested electronically through the OCLC FirstSearch database. Each FirstSearch database includes an online interlibrary loan request form that generates an electronic message to the library if you find a citation in the database that is not available in the Bishop Payne Library (accessible as a FirstSearch link under the "Library Catalog and Electronic Services" page of this website).
