The international student scholarship program at Virginia Theological Seminary was developed in response to the need to provide funding for graduate level theological education to qualified clergy and lay leaders from areas of the world where such education is not available.  The program has been committed to providing full scholarship funding to selected, highly qualified applicants whose academic achievements, goals for further education and current service in the Church attest to their ongoing excellence, both academically and in ministry. Scholarship funding had been available for a one year Post-graduate diploma program and a two year Master of Arts program. 

At present, this scholarship program is under review and evaluation.  We are not accepting applications to attend Virginia theological seminary through this scholarship program.  International students from countries other than those associated with the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in  Europe should email the Director of Admissions, Janice Sienkiewicz, at jsienkiewicz@vts.edu if they desire more information about study at Virginia Seminary. Prospective students from the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe should follow the instructions and procedures provided for those applying to the seminary from within the United States.
