Did you know that the Bible Briefs series is a joint venture of Virginia Theological Seminary and Forward Movement Publications? Do you even know what Bible Briefs are? They are an amazing resource that is available to everyone on the
VTS website
. These pamphlets are written by Biblical scholars--including several who serve, or have served, on the VTS faculty!
The latest Bible Brief to be added to the collection is on the book of Habakkuk. This pamphlet was written by Dr. John F. Hobbins who is an ordained pastor of the Waldensian Church—Union of Methodist and Waldensian Congregations of Italy. Dr. Hobbins teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and serves as the pastor of First United Methodist Church in Oshkosh.
I encourage you to peruse the Bible Briefs
webpage
and to encourage others to do so as well. The pamphlets are accessible and a marvelous tool for anyone interested in knowing more about different books in the Bible.
I would like to thank Stephen Cook for his leadership with this project and for ensuring that the community is kept up to date as new pamphlets are published.
The Very Rev Ian Markham
Dean and President
