Institutional Advancement, IA, at VTS is at the center of our relations with VTS alumni, friends, supporters, and the broader church and community. There are four divisions in IA: Alumni, Annual Fund and Church Relations, Communications, Development, and Lifetime Theological Education. This month we are pleased to welcome two new members to our staff.

William Walton Campbell joins IA as Director of Leadership Gifts. Bill Campbell comes to VTS after four-plus years serving as Director of Christian Education for Children and Youth at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alexandria, Virginia, where he also had responsibilities for program development and fundraising. Before serving St. Paul’s, he served at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Richmond and as lay chaplain to the University of Richmond. He began his work career, however, as a trained chef in leading the creative chaos of a kitchen. This is surely a transferrable skill.

Linda L. Dienno joins IA as Director of Development. For the last seven years she has been the Director of Stewardship and Development at Christ Church, Alexandria. She brings as well broad experience in building relations and support with volunteers, including serving as manager and as the director of retired and senior volunteer programs at the Campagna Center in Alexandria, whose mission is strengthening families through programs serving children.

These are significant times for VTS as we deepen our mission given the committed support of many, beginning with our staff.
