Some guests we want to simply welcome and not overwhelm with attention.  Some guests are here to enjoy the campus and work with other guests on important aspects of the ministry of the Church.  However, too many people have said to me, "What is the Presiding Bishop doing here?" So let me answer that question.

So yes, today we recognize and welcome the College for Bishops to the campus.  According to their website: The mission of the College for Bishops is to provide opportunities for education and formation that will strengthen bishops in their personal lives, as diocesan leaders in God's mission and in their vocation to God as a community of bishops in service to the Episcopal Church.  This Committee, meeting yesterday and today, works hard to enable Bishops to transition into the ministry of oversight in our Church.  So we are blessed with a significant number of distinguished guests who are enjoying the campus and its facilities.

Both Dr. Timothy Sedgwick and the Rev. Dr. Allison St. Louis are working closely with the College for Bishops.  This is an important service our distinguished colleagues provide the Church.  We welcome the College for Bishops and celebrate the service of both Tim and Allison.
