Summer Leadership Lecture Series Announced

Alexandria, VA – The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program at Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS) announced today the Leadership Lecture Series for Summer 2013. Required for D.Min. students, these lectures are also open to registration by the general public. Summer Schedule: June 19
- “Cultural Liturgy” by Dr. Andrey Shirin (pictured), Director of Transformational Leadership at John Leland Center for Theological Studies. June 26
- "The Middle Realm, the Creative Process, and the Creator in Religious Education” by the Rev. Dr. Jerome Berryman, Senior Fellow at the Center for the Theology of Childhood. July 3
- “Pastoral Care in Crisis” by the Rev. Kathie Adams-Shepherd, Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church, Newtown, Connecticut
Each lecture will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on the Virginia Seminary campus. Registration for those not in the D.Min. program is $20 per lecture. Dinner is included in the registration
The D.Min. program at VTS is led by the Rev. David Gortner, Ph.D., director of the Doctor of Ministry Program and professor of Evangelism and Congregational Leadership, and Dr. Kathy Brown, acting associate director of the Doctor of Ministry Program.
