Some things we can do by ourselves; other things are best done in partnership with others. It is interesting how so much is happening around Christian Formation in cyberspace. One of the most interesting illustrations is 'Forma'. This is an association of grassroots members involved in Christian formation ministries. It is both a network, advocacy forum and a provider of resources. It has members from across the entire Episcopal Church and includes people from over forty states and sixty dioceses.

I am delighted that our Director of the Center for the Ministry of Teaching, Dr. Lisa Kimball, is hosting the Forma Board on campus. They arrived yesterday at lunchtime and will be with us through this afternoon. Board members are here from all over the United States. One of the issues facing the Board will be the preparations for their annual conference which will be in Alexandria in January. The keynote speakers includes our very own Dr. Lisa Kimball and Dr. Patricia Lyons.

We are delighted the Board is meeting here on our campus. Welcome to Virginia Theological Seminary. May God bless your time with us.
