More than 2,000 workplaces were nominated in the region. Over 33,000 employees were surveyed. And Virginia Theological Seminary is recognized in "The Washington Post Top Workplaces 2014." Only 150 workplaces were chosen for this honor. VTS is one of the 80 small companies highlighted (50-150 employees).
VTS is a fantastic place to work. Those of us who work here know this. But it is truly an honor to be recognized this way. One of the benefits listed by The Washington Post is the generous healthcare coverage offered by VTS. The convenience of childcare at The Butterfly House here on campus is also mentioned.
The recognition is due in large part to Chris Marbaker, Human Resources, Institutional Effectiveness and Governance Assistant. Chris researched the survey and completed the preliminary work required. He also facilitated the survey of our employees. Of course, it was our extraordinary staff who actually completed the survey. To celebrate this great honor, there will be an Ice Cream Social 1:30-2:30 PM in the Lettie Pate Evans Room.
