The Rev. Carol Pinkham Oak, D.min, is the Project Director for the Lilly-funded Thriving in Ministry Initiative. She joined the VTS faculty in 2018. Her areas of expertise include congregational and non-profit development, lay leader and clergy formation, Theology, Pastoral Counseling, Volunteer Management, Leadership Development, and Public Speaking. She has a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) focused in Environmental Biology from University of Colorado at Boulder. Before coming to VTS, she was rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, in Ellicott City, MD.
