Linda Dienno

Linda L. Dienno is the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. She came to VTS in 2013. Her areas of expertise include fundraising, campaign development, end-of-life financial planning, family and church budgeting. Before coming to VTS, she was the director of stewardship and development at Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

She received a Bachelor of Psychology degree cum laude from the University of Maryland, Overseas Division (now UMUC Europe); is a graduate of Education for Ministry (EfM) from Sewanee: The University of the South; and an honor graduate in Italian Language from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

As Director of Development at Christ Church, Ms. Dienno was responsible for the Annual Stewardship appeal, fundraisers, a capital campaign, major gifts, bequests, grant writing, and communications. Annually, she raised $1.5M for the operating fund.

Her development background began in 1994 when she began working with the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O) at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Her work included fundraising travel to U.S. military installations across the globe including places such as Panama, Japan, and Bosnia. Linda was responsible for marketing, fundraising materials, training, and recognition events. During her time with CFC-O, Linda raised more than $29M.

A self-proclaimed “military brat” who grew up on military installations across the country, and then lived overseas for 20 years in six different countries, Ms. Dienno now calls Virginia home.

Linda and her husband, Jeff, live in Alexandria. They are both Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University facilitators, and share a love of cooking, cycling, and spending time with family. They visit their grandsons in Connecticut as often as possible. A devout Episcopalian, Linda is grateful for the abundance in her life.
