The Rev. Allison St. Louis joined the VTS faculty March 15, 2010, and currently serves as Director of Contextual Ministry and the Second Three Years Program.
The Rev. St. Louis currently serves on the Pastoral Services Advisory Committee at Hartford Hospital and on the Diocese of Connecticut's Committee II. She has been a Spiritual Director at VTS (2002-2004); a staff member of the Episcopal Preaching Foundation's Preaching Excellence Program; and a Diocesan Review Committee member in the Diocese of Washington. She has been involved with the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington and has served as Co-chair of the Diocese of Washington's Task Force on Racial Reconciliation.
Prior to her work at the Cathedral in Hartford, she served at the Church of Our Saviour in Silver Spring, Maryland as Associate Rector (2003-2004) and as Assistant to the Rector (2000-2003).
She holds Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees from Howard University and a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary. She was ordained a priest in 2001 by the Rt. Rev. Jane Holmes Dixon and she is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Her cross-cultural experience includes studies in Mexico and in Kenya.
