We host many visitors at VTS, mostly through the Dean’s Office. Some of them are called Dean’s Scholars. They come from all over the world with many different backgrounds to share. These special guests include scholars, bishops, alumni, and others. Oftentimes, they are on campus for project.

Ms. Amber Noel, M.Div., who arrived last week on May 14, is our most recent Dean’s Scholar. Amber is a Duke University 2012 graduate with a background in theology and the arts. She has played many roles since then as a teacher, blogger, youth minister, writer, etc. The purpose of her visit is to finalize the first draft of her adaptation of C.S. Lewis’s Perelandra for the stage. Another goal is also to have 1 or 2 public readings of this adaptation.

Amber is here until June 20, so please introduce yourself and give her a warm welcome to our community. She enjoys time with animals, great food, and people. Share your favorite local restaurants and must-try venues in the DMV area with her. Initiate a conversation with her about her work and create a friendship.

Welcome to VTS, Amber.
