Sustained conversation requires time. It is true that much can happen on Zoom or on a conference call. Even an email exchange can clarify options. But it is still true that if you want to dig deep, then a conversation that takes hours, where details can be explored, is the best way.

Starting on Monday night and finishing today, the Senior Staff have been working together. Some of the staff had been asked to complete surveys. The answers received focused attention. And, given that every team can be better, Dr. Allison St. Louis will be joining us this morning for some work on family systems and group effectiveness.

One privilege of being dean and president of Virginia Theological Seminary is that I really appreciate my colleagues. They have a passion for the mission of this place. So a big thank you to Vice Presidents Knowles, Ballou, Glover, and Dienno. I appreciate you all very much.
