Whether you’re auditing a class at VTS this fall or just pondering a class in the future, this one-night class with former VTS instructor, Linda Lanam (MTS 2009) will introduce “seminary” terminology, expectations, and resources for seminary studies.

The “priesthood of all believers” reflects the belief that God’s great conversation with us as God’s people is unending and without borders. In order to hold up our end of the conversation, it is important to take religious literacy and theological understanding seriously. One way to accomplish this goal is by taking part in classes offered to VTS seminarians, to study with them as they prepare for their ministry. As lay students, we may not use the knowledge we gain for the same purposes but we will share with them the particular angle of vision of the subjects studied that is offered in a seminary setting. This "Seminary 101” class provides an introduction to study in the Masters Program classes at VTS.
