The event schedule includes a variety of activities that will allow you to engage with students and faculty. We have tried to include opportunities for you to hear from many different Seminary voices and to gather information about all of the important aspects of life at VTS that will help inform your decision about where to pursue your seminary education. However, we know that the schedule is full and that you may need to seek out some time to be on your own to reflect and process all of the information and conversations. We ask you to be mindful of your own needs, and to feel free to excuse yourself from some events if necessary. The only activity for which we need a firm commitment is dinner in faculty homes on Friday night. These dinner parties are planned in advance, and for the sake of the hosts we ask that all confirmed attendees attend.
The Weekend is designed to help participants explore theological education at VTS. College students should be seniors if they are planning to attend the conference. The programs during the weekend are designed for adults, and we are unable to offer childcare at the event. Families are a big part of the community at Virginia Theological Seminary and children are always welcome at Community gatherings, but we want to be sure that prospective students and their spouses/partners are aware of the busy weekend schedule so they can plan to get the most out of their visit.
