The Locke E. Bowman, Jr. Scholarship. It is available to full- and part-time students in the MA program with a concentration in Christian formation. It was established in 1994 in honor of Dr. Bowman, who retired as Director of VTS' Center for the Ministry of Teaching. Dr. Bowman began his career at VTS in 1983 as Professor of Christian Education and Pastoral Theology.
This grant is awarded to entering students based upon the strength of their admissions application. It is awarded to returning students in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The grant amount is dependent upon the availability of scholarship funds and the number of eligible students.
