What Preaching Fellows Are Saying About the 2016 Residency

  • The entire ethos of the program helped me to recognize my preaching as a deep expression of myself, rather than something that I do.
  • I deeply appreciated the mentor time – one rarely receives constructive feedback. I am excited, as well, to be part of a peer group. It will be an important part of keeping what I learned and experienced present.
  • Starting with Sabbath was such a gift. You must have asked, “What do preachers need most?” and come up with the right answer…: Sabbath. Everything else flowed from that experience of reconnecting inwardly, feeling fed and resting in God.
  • Such a powerful week… I felt the gifts of the week – worship, the programs, the lectures, the people – while I preached on Sunday. I am so glad that this is the beginning of a year, and I look forward to receiving continuing gifts.
