Today the Seminary community gathers formally for Morning Prayer, Noon Day Eucharist, and Evening Prayer. Our regular cycle of corporate worship starts again. In this sense nothing has changed. Yet, of course, so much has changed. This has been a difficult weekend. Staff are coming to work today to discover the skeleton of a chapel - some of the walls remain, but so much has been lost.
This week we will be making a journey across the road to the Zabriskie Chapel at Immanuel Church on the Hill to worship; for years, this thriving congregation has been received on this campus. Now, they are pleased to welcome the Seminary. Grace abounds.
We are hurting. Yet we are worshipping. This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
