This morning classes will stop at 11:30am; our Noon Day Eucharist will start at 11:45am. We will gather in the grove facing the Chapel. After a short liturgy, we will process to Scott Lounge for the Word and the Holy Communion.
Today is All Saints Day - a perfect day to remember those who have gone before. The Gospel invites us to learn to recall in ways that are healing rather than destructive. We remember our beloved chapel and the faithful saints whose lives are celebrated in its plaques and windows; and the many more who have sat in the Chapel's pews. We give thanks and recognize that many saints have been equipped for service and sent out by God from this chapel. This recognition is an invitation for us all to remember with a sense of gratitude rather than despair.
This is the day when we celebrate the entire "communion of the saints". May God enable us to celebrate appropriately and passionately the connection between our chapel and those saints.
