Thriving in Ministry invites you to participate in a lively, committed cohort of peer learners.

Supported by the Lilly Endowment, the Thriving in Ministry initiative has two aims:

1) To create vibrant peer learning groups for clergy in distinct settings, and
2) To advance the continuing education of clergy through the support of trained facilitators and mentors.

Our team recognizes adult learners thrive when they have the freedom to identify what they want to learn and then receive consistent coaching and feedback towards those goals. This belief anchors Thriving at VTS and informs the communities we create--peer groups that embrace transition, reinvigorate vocation, and transform relationships.

Simply put, we offer clergy a way to claim the unique strengths they bring to ministry and the vitality they infuse into the church.
Our Peer Learning Groups

Thriving in Ministry peer learning groups form around clergy in the following contexts:
  • Church Planters
  • Clergy Couples
  • Episcopal School Chaplains
  • Ethnic Missioners
