Today we are delighted to share the news that the Board of Trustees elected the Rev. Dr. Justin Lewis-Anthony as our new Associate Dean of Students.  We had a very strong field with some exceptional candidates.  Justin was appointed because of his deep administrative experience and manifest pastoral and scholarly skills.  He has been a priest for almost twenty years and is currently serving at St. Stephen's Church, Canterbury, in the UK.

Justin is well known in the Episcopal Church.  It was his book If you meet George Herbert on the road, kill him: radically re-thinking priestly ministry (Continuum 2009) that led to various invitations to address diocesan conventions and other academic meetings.  He has a passion for ministerial formation.  He wants to make sure that we really think through what it means to lead a congregation in the twenty-first century.

Justin is a pastor, priest, scholar, and administrator.  We are excited that he has agreed to join us.  He will start at Virginia Theological Seminary on August 1, 2013.
